BOOSTERS Three-phase power is not always available. To keep cost down, often only one phase is fed from a street transformer to a house. There are two options, if an industrial machine has to be connected. Installation cost for three-phase power lines may be high. Single to three- phase Boosters are another good solution. Boosters convert single phase 220V, 230V or 240V into three phase 380V, 400V or 415V.
Booster single-phase to three-phase converters Single to three-phase converters are available for more applications and for a wider power range: The
standard converter for all workshop and farm applications is a Booster. With
a Booster E, motors will reach full speed in the shortest
possible time. Many
Boosters are used in workshops (woodworking, metalworking) and on farms. If
your application is just one simple machine or one induction motor, an Eco
is a low cost solution. Booster
and Eco converters are maintenance-free. Internal motor-generators are
brushless. Line
disturbances, over- or undervoltage conditions or short circuits do not
influence the operation. Boosters can operate welders: Choose a Booster (not a Booster E) with the size 50% larger than actually needed. The
standard input voltage is 230V single-phase, the standard output voltage
is 3x 400V. Output frequency is always as input frequency: 50 Hz. Installation instructions and a service schematics are provided with each Booster and Eco converter. Also available on request: Detailed

and hard-starts During motor start-ups, currents for a short moment rise to about 600% of the motors nameplate currents. This is normal, and motor rated fuses and cables cope well with this situation. When motors start under load, or when excessive load is applied to a motor, high amounts of energy has to supplied for longer period of time. Only a Booster E will generate these currents. A Booster E can handle start-stop modes, motor reverse mode, motors under excessive loads and motors accelerating inertia. They operate refrigeration systems, compressors, deep submersible pumps, irrigation systems and fast turning metal lathes with heavy chucks. |
